Hooray - some good news.

I must admit, I had been getting my 'house' in order ready for the big change - clearing out my inbox, sorting messages. However I am very glad to know I will still be able to have 'offline' access to my e-mails.

As a Win2000 / WinME user, there was no client, 3rd party or not that I could have used. Maybe the decision makers will  decide to take the IMAP option... Could be a plan ;)

NB. I'll be watching Bill Gates on BBC2 tonight (20th June, 7-8pm BST) on 'The Money Program', as the man prepares to leave the company. Maybe a start of a new, 'standards' compliant Microsoft?

i'm not surprised. this attitude isn't new from "you know who".
well done guys! Another chapter on "how to annoy customers"!
Thank god that there are other (and alot better) alternatives.

Please give IMAP or any other broadly used protocol... Continuously reinventing the wheel is a waste of time for you, and for the customers. Without proper support of alternate email clients, I'll be obliged to ditch my hotmail inbox... and find another service for my primary email.
