    How to capture a screenshot

    How to capture a screenshot:

    Windows XP

     

    1.  Launch Windows Live Mail and recreate the issue.

    2.  Press “Print Screen.”



    Note: Location of the Print Screen key may vary; the illustration above is only a sample of a generic keyboard.

    3.  Open Microsoft Paint.

     

      a.  Click on “Start.”
      b.  Highlight “All Programs.”

      c.  Highlight “Accessories.”

      d.  Click on “Paint.”

     

    4.  On the toolbar, click on “Edit” then “Paste” or simultaneously press “Ctrl” and “V.” in your keyboard

    5.  Click on “File.”
    6.  Select “Save As.”

    7.  Enter a filename and select JPEG as file type.

    8.  Click “Save.”


    Windows Vista

     

    1.  Launch Windows Live Mail and recreate the issue.

    2.  Press “Print Screen.”  (Please refer to keyboard screenshot above)

    3.  Open Microsoft Paint.

     

      a.  Click on “Start.”
      b.  Highlight “All Programs.”




      c.  Highlight “Accessories.”




      d.  Click on “Paint.”



    4.  On the toolbar, click on “Edit” then “Paste” or simultaneously press “Ctrl” and “V.” in your keyboard



    5.  Click on “File.”

    6.  Select “Save As.”


    7.  Enter a filename and select JPEG as file type.

    8.  Click “Save.”

    You can either attach the screenshot in your reply or send it to our test account (windowsLM@msn.com) using SR****ID as the subject of your e-mail for tracking purposes. If you will send the screenshot to our test account, please inform us by replying to your submitted support request.

    How to remove and configure account in Windows Live Mail

     

    1. Launch Windows Live Mail.

     

    2. Right-click your ACCOUNT and then select the “Remove account” option.

    3. Click on the “Yes” button in the confirmation window.


    4. Close the Windows Live Mail application then restart your computer.

     

    After rebooting, click on the "Sync" button and make sure that there is no error generated without the account configured. If you do not encounter an error or if the "Sync" button is disabled, you can then proceed with re-configuring your account.

     

    How to configure an account in Windows Live Mail


    HTTP (Deltasynch)

    1. Click the "Add an e-mail account" button near the bottom portion of the folder list in Windows Live Mail.


    2. Fill out the fields with your username ACCOUNT, password and display name.

    3. Remove the check mark if it is present in the “Manually configure server settings for e-mail account” option.

    4. Click the “Next” button then select the “Finish” button in the next window.


    POP3/IMAP

    1. Click the "Add an e-mail account" button near the bottom portion of the folder list in Windows Live Mail.

    2. Fill out the fields with your username ACCOUNT, password and display name.



    3. Put a check mark in the “Manually configure server settings for e-mail account” option.

    4. Input all the necessary information found in the different fields and then click “Next”



    Note: Not all these may be necessary for account setup. It would still be best to verify with the support team of your e-mail provider.

    • Protocol to be used
    • Server names (incoming and outgoing)
    • Port number (incoming and outgoing)
    • Secure connection (SSL) requirement
    • Server authentication requirements


    5. Select the “Finish” button in the next window to finish the set up.
